UPSC Conducts Combined Geo-Scientist Examination – 2022.

Two major entities of the Government of India, the first geological survey of India and the second Central Groundwater Board, require highly qualified candidates for research and analysis. Both the entities will get suitable candidates through to a Combined Geo-Scientist Examination – 2022 under Union Public Service Commission.

The above-mentioned commission has published a public notification in this regard. The published notification mentioned the criteria set for each below-mentioned position. Candidates from all over Indian who meet the criteria for any of these positions can submit their details up to 12th October 2021.

Qualification Details.

Geologist Group “A” –

A candidate must have a Master’s Degree in Geological Science or Geology or Applied Geology or Geo- Exploration or any other discipline mentioned in the official notification in respect of this position from a recognized institution/university.

Geophysicist Group “A” –

A candidate must have a Master’s Degree in Physics or Applied Physics or Geo- Physics or any other discipline mentioned in the official notification in respect of this position from a recognized institution/university.

Chemist Group “A” –

A candidate must have a Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry from a recognized institution/university.

Scientist “B” (Hydrogeology) Group “A” –

A candidate must have a Master’s Degree in Hydrology or Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recognized institution/university.

Scientist “B” (Chemical) Group “A” –

A candidate must have a Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry from a recognized institution/university.

Scientist “B” (Geophysics) Group “A” –

A candidate must have a Master’s Degree in Physics or Applied Physics or Geo- Physics or any other discipline mentioned in the official notification in respect of this position from a recognized institution/university.

The above fees can be remitted either in any branch of State Bank of India or by using Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Internet Banking of SBI while filling the online application form. Applicants will have to take print of pay-in-slip format while filling the application when he chooses for the first option. Whereas, in the second option, the applicant is enabled to pay fees instantly.
