The UPSC released a single recruitment notification combining all requisitions as UPSC 12/2023 Recruitment Notification on its official website on June 23rd, 2023. This public notification is also inviting applications from suitable Indian citizens.

Eligibility Criteria for Posts under UPSC 12/2023 Recruitment Notification
Qualification
- Air Worthiness Officer
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics/Mathematics/Aircraft Maintenance or Engineering Degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication from a recognized University.
- Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s (AME) License endorsed in either of the Categories B1 or B2 issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
- Air Safety Officer
- Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from a recognized University
- Livestock Officer
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from a recognized University.
- Junior Scientific Officer
- B.E./ B.Tech or Postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- Public Prosecutor
- Degree in law from a recognized institution/University.
- Junior Translation Officer
- Postgraduate degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory subject from a recognized university. or
- Postgraduate degree in English with Hindi as a compulsory subject from a recognized university.
- Assistant Engineer Grade-I
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining/Mechanical/Drilling from a recognized University/institution or an associate member of the Institution of Engineers.

Relaxation in Upper Age
There is also a provision for relaxation in the prescribed upper age limit. The UPSC will follow the rules drafted for relaxation by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (Department of Health) during the recruitment process.

Application Fee under UPSC 12/2023 Recruitment Notification and Remittance
Candidates under General/EWS/OBC come under a category in which an application fee of ₹ 25/- has been imposed. This means candidates of these categories will have to remit an amount of ₹ 25/- either online or offline mode.

Whereas the other category of candidates such as SC, ST, PWD, and Females are exempted from the payment of application fees. So, candidates of these categories won’t have to pay any amount as an application fee.
The commission has implemented a digital payment system to make the payment process less time-consuming and effortless. It has also retained the traditional method for accepting payments from the applicants under this recruitment notification.
Now applicants seem capable of remitting their fees online while filling up the prescribed online application form only because of the implementation of a digital payment method.
The digital payment system enables user to make payments using a Net banking facility of any bank or by using Visa/Master/Rupay/Credit/Debit Card/UPI payment.
Applicants who don’t have the resources mentioned above required for online payment will have to go for another payment method i.e. pay in cash at the nearest bank branch.
