Educational Qualification for SSB Sub Inspector Posts

• Sub Inspector (Pioneer) – Either Degree or Diploma in civil engineering from a recognized institution /university.
• Sub Inspector (Draughtsman) – Passed matriculation or equivalent examination and subsequently national trade certificate of 2 years from a recognized industrial training institute. Besides, the applicant also must have possession of either a one-year certificate course or one year experience in AutoCAD from a recognized government or other institution.
• Sub Inspector (Communication) – Degree in electronics and communication or computer science or other degrees that have been included as an essential qualification for this position from a recognized institution/University.
• Sub Inspector (Staff Nurse Female) – Applicants should have passed 10 + 2 in Science or equivalent examination from a recognized Council/Board. Thereafter, 3 years diploma in General Nursing from a Central or State recognized institution with a valid registration number with the Central or State Nursing Council. Besides, the applicant must have at least 2 years of experience in a recognized Hospital.

Stages in the Selection Procedure

The selection process for SSB Sub Inspector Recruitment 2023 is comprised of the following stages.

• Physical Standard Test – The board of officers detailed by SSB will conduct Physical Efficiency Test. The Standards of the Physical Efficiency Test are as follows-
  • Male – 1.6 km in 6 minutes 30 seconds
  • Female – 800 m race in 4 minutes
• Physical Efficiency Test – candidates of Sub Inspector (Pioneer, Draughtsman, Communication, and Staff Nurse Female) who qualified in the Physical Efficiency Test will have to undergo the physical standard test.
  • For Sub Inspector (Pioneer, Draughtsman, and Communication)
    • For all candidates not belonging to the below two categories –
      • Male – Height – 170 cm, Chest – Min – 80 cm (minimum expansion 5 cm)
      • Female – Height – 157 cm, Chest – Not Applicable
    • For Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras,
      Marathas and candidates belonging to the States
      of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur
      Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal
      Pradesh, UT of Jammu & Kashmir, and UT Ladakh –
      • Male – Height – 165 cm, Chest – Min – 78 cm (minimum expansion 5 cm)
      • Female – Height – 155 cm, Chest – Not Applicable
    • Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes –
      • Male – Height – 162.5 cm, Chest – Min – 80 cm (minimum expansion 5 cm)
      • Female – Height – 150 cm, Chest – Not Applicable
• For Sub Inspector (Staff Nurse Female)
  • For all candidates not belonging to the below two categories –
