Candidates to be appointed as School Teachers on successful qualifying at all stages of the selection process will get the basic salary of the following structure.

Eligibility Criteria Required for BPSC School Teacher Posts

Educational Qualification

Any Indian citizen willing to participate in the competitive examination which is to be held for the selection of candidates for school teacher posts must have the following eligibility criteria.

• School Teacher Class 1 – 5
  • Applicants must have certificates that prove he/she has passed the Senior Secondary or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks and after that, a 2-year diploma in pedagogy from a recognized institution. or

• School Teacher Class 9 – 10
  • Applicants must have certificates that prove he/she has passed the Graduate/Postgraduate or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks and after that, a B.Ed degree from the National Teacher Education Council recognized institution. or

Category-wise Age Limit & Relaxation Details

The State Government employees who have completed a minimum of 3 years of continuous service and are willing to get promoted to higher pay scale positions will get up to 25 years of relaxation in their upper age.

Applicants belonging to the Divyang category will get up to 10 years of age relaxation, excluding their respective category-wise relaxation.

Ex-servicemen who want to join the above position will get relaxation up to the period of service rendered in the defence forces plus up to 3 years.

Examination Fee & Remittance Details

Such candidates who will not enter their Aadhaar Number at the prescribed area in the online application form will have to pay ₹ 200 as a Biometric Fee additionally along with other fees.

The Bihar Public Service Commission has got a payment gateway integrated to accept examination fees effortlessly online without standing in a queue at the bank. 

The applicants will have to bear the convenience/service fee charged by the respective bank for making available the service of online payment. The convenience/service charge will be added to the application fee.

A sum amount of examination fee and bank charges will be detected from the bank account of applicants whose details are to be provided through either a credit card, debit card, or Internet banking.

Written Exam – Candidates who have applied for BPSC School Teacher posts will have to join the written examination to be conducted. The nature of the questions that are to be asked will be objective type.
