To get their goal the department has decided to add a total of 2452 Medical Officers (Assistant Surgeons) through the recruitment process. The above-said department has sent a recruitment proposal to the Odisha Public Service Commission.

The  Commission will conduct the whole recruitment process till the placement of candidates. The recruitment comprises various stages of tests. Medical Officer-

A degree of M.B.B.S or equivalent from a Medical institution/College recognized by the Medical Council of India. A valid registration certificate under the Odisha Medical Registration Act, 1961 (O.A. 18 of 1961) is mandatory.

Graduate in Commerce/B. Sc (Maths/Statistics)/BA(Maths/Statistics) or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks from recognized institutions. Categories belong to SC and ST will get a relaxation of 5% in marks.
