Director, Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), Bengaluru has announced that fresh graduate, diploma, and ITI candidates will be included as apprentice trainees. Gas turbine research establishment is functional under the administrative control of DRDO. This establishment has decided to import training through apprenticeship for 2022- 23. The official website of the parent organization is publishing and notification of engagement in this regard.
Graduate, Diploma, and ITI passed out Indian citizens who are willing to take the benefit of such reputed organization can register themselves. The parent organization has shared a link that redirects visitors to a prescribed online application. Willing Indian citizens will have to complete and submit this prescribed online application up to 14th March 2022.

Qualification Details
I. Graduate Apprentice:
An Indian student willing to be a Graduate Apprentice under DRDO GTRE must have a B.E./B. Tech Engineering degree in any one of the below-mentioned disciplines from a recognized institution/university.
Mechanical/Production/ Industrial Production Engg. Aeronautical/Aerospace Engg. Electricals & Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Instrumentation/Telecom Engg. Computer Science / Computer Engg./ Information Science & Technology Engg. Metallurgy/Material science Civil Engg. or Equivalent
II. Diploma Apprentice:
An Indian student willing to be a Technician Apprentice under DRDO GTRE must have a Diploma in any one of the below-mentioned disciplines from a State Technical Board/University recognized institution.
Mechanical/Production/ Tool & Die design Electrical& Electronics / Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation Computer Science / Engg./Computer Networking
III. ITI Apprentice:
An Indian student willing to be a Trade Apprentice under DRDO GTRE must have completed ITI in any of the above-mentioned trades from an institution affiliated with NCVT/SCVT.
Machinist/ Fitter/ Turner/ Electrician/ Welder/ Sheet Metal worker/ Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA)
IV. Graduate Apprentice (General Stream):
An Indian student willing to be a Graduate Apprentice under DRDO GTRE must have a Graduate degree in any one of the below-mentioned disciplines from a recognized institution/university.
B.Com.
B.Sc. (Chemistry/Physics/Maths/ Electronics/Computer
B.A. (English/History/Finance/ Banking
Duration of training
As per the Apprentices Act, 1961 as amended in 2015 & 2019, the duration of the apprenticeship training is for one year for all notified categories.
