Educational Qualification Required for WBPRB Sub Inspector and Surgent Posts

The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent certificate in any discipline from a recognized University/institution.

The above candidate must be able to speak, read, and write the Bengali language. However, this provision does not apply to the permanent residents of hill subdivisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts.

The candidate should have passed the final examination of either degree or diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution/university.

Sub Inspector (Draughtsman) –

A candidate should have passed matriculation or equivalent examination from a recognized board.

He/She should have a 2 years National Tradesman certificate issued by a recognized institution. Work experience in AutoCAD with a one-year course certificate from a recognized institution.

Sub Inspector (Communication) –

The candidate should have a degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects from a recognized University/institution.  Or

Degree in engineering in Electronics/Communication/Computer Science/Information Technology from a recognized institution.

Sub Inspector (Staff Nurse (Female)) –

The candidate should have passed 10 + 2 two in Science or equivalent examination from a recognized institution/university/board.

She has a diploma certificate of 3 years General Nursing from a recognized institution with minimum 2 years of work experience in a recognized Hospital.

The candidate must be registered with the State/Central Nursing Council.
