Eligibility Criteria for BSF Water Wing Recruitment 2023 Posts
Qualification
- SI (Master) – Applicants willing to participate must have – (i) 10+2 or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University; and (ii) 2nd class master certificate issued by Central/State Inland Water Transport Authority/ Mercantile Marine Department.
- SI (Engine Driver) – Applicants willing to participate must have – (i) 10+2 or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University; and (ii) 1st class Engine Driver Certificate issued by Central/State Inland Water Transport Authority / Mercantile Marine Department.
- SI (Workshop) – Applicants willing to participate must have – (i) Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent; OR (ii) 03-year Diploma in Mechanical/ Marine/Auto Mobile Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.
- HC (Master) – Applicants willing to participate must have – (i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent; and (ii) Serang Certificate
- HC (Engine Driver) – Applicants willing to participate must have – (i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent; and (ii) Possessing 2nd class Engine Driver certificate.
- HC (Workshop) Machinist – Applicants willing to participate must have – (i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent; and (ii) ITI (Industrial Training Institute) Diploma in Motor Mechanic (Diesel/Petrol Engine) for HC (Workshop)- Mechanic (Diesel/ Petrol Engine) from a recognized Institution.; and (iii) ITI (Industrial Training Institute) Diploma in Machinist for HC (Workshop) -Machinist from a recognized Institution.
- Constable (Crew) – Applicants willing to participate must have a Matriculation with Science subjects or equivalent examination passed certificate from a recognized board; and a minimum of two years of work experience in the Store or Warehousing of any Government or Public Sector organization.

The structured examination fee for group B and C posts has to be paid by candidates except for SC, ST, Departmental, and Ex-servicemen through the online mode.
