Academic Qualification Required for BSF Head Constable RO RM Posts
- Head Constable (Radio Operator)
- Aspirants willing to join the recruitment process to be conducted for Head Constable (Radio Operator) must have matriculation or equivalent certificate from a recognized board/council. And
- The willing aspirants should also have certificates from the Industrial Training Institute of a minimum of 2 years in radio and television or in any other trade mentioned as the required qualification for applying for this post. or
- Aspirants who don’t have ITI certificates must have passed 12 the standard or intermediate or equivalent with physics, chemistry, and mathematics subjects with at least 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized Institute/Council/University.
- Head Constable (Radio Mechanic)
- Aspirants willing to join the recruitment process to be conducted for Head Constable (Radio Operator) must have matriculation or equivalent certificate from a recognized board/council. And
- The willing aspirants should also have a certificate from the Industrial Training Institute of a minimum of 2 years in radio and television or in any other trade mentioned as the required qualification for applying for this post. or

All male aspirants of the following categories will have to pay the examination fee of ₹ 100 to the BSF through the SBI payment gateway using any of the below-mentioned payment modes.
The rest of the categories are exempted from paying the examination fee such as female, SC, ST, EX-Serviceman, BSF Candidates, and victims of communal riots. However, they have to pay 40 + taxes = ₹ 47.2/-.
